Live gig by Houston artist Joy Guidry with Floco at Belgrave Music Hall & Canteen, promoted by Super Friendz.
Joy Guidry plays Belgrave Music Hall & Canteen on Sunday 8 November, with Floco on the bill too. The night is promoted by Super Friendz.
Guidry is an experimental artist from Houston, Texas whose work is described as experimental and daring, with deep storytelling. That's a fair starting point for what to expect: music that leans into the storytelling side of things rather than just the songs. Floco joins on the bill, so it's a double header on the one night.
Belgrave Music Hall & Canteen is a music, art, film and food venue spread over three floors on Cross Belgrave Street, topped with a roof terrace. The building went up in the 1930s as a nursery school for the children of working families in Leeds and opened as Belgrave in 2013 after years of neglect. It holds 350 standing or 100 seated, and its two kitchens serve Dough Boys pizza by the slice and Patty's burgers. It's a Check 25 venue, and the only ID it accepts is a UK driving licence or a passport.
