Jazz tribute to John Coltrane by The Ben Powling Quartet at The Domino Club on Grand Arcade.
The Ben Powling Quartet play The Domino Club on Tuesday 27 October, a night billed as a celebration of the 100th birthday of the legendary saxophonist John Coltrane. It's a jazz tribute to one of the most influential figures in the music, with Powling and his quartet taking the lead.
The Domino Club is tucked into the basement of a Grade II listed building on Grand Arcade in the city centre, at 7 Grand Arcade, LS1 6PG. It's a standing venue with a small number of tables, and the bar does cocktails. Most of the time it's funk, soul, blues and jazz from Wednesday to Sunday, with special events on Tuesdays and a jazz jam on the first Sunday of the month. This is one of those Tuesday nights.

It's strictly 18+, and all the door money goes to the musicians. Doors open at 7pm, with the live music starting at 8pm. On a Tuesday night, it's pay as you feel, so you can decide what you want to give on the door.
