Festive fairground with a 400-square-metre outdoor ice rink, Bavarian-style stalls, street food, rides and a Ski Bar on Millennium Square.
Ice Cube at Christmas returns to Millennium Square on 19 November, running through to 31 December. It's one of Leeds' biggest winter fixtures, and this year it's back in the same spot, built around a 400-square-metre real ice rink under a transparent marquee. The skating is the main draw, but the whole site stretches across Millennium Square, Victoria Gardens and Cookridge Street, so it's more of a festive fairground than just a rink.
Beyond the ice, the surrounding streets turn into an alpine winter playground. There's an alpine-style Ski Bar and Bavarian-style stalls, with festive street food and a fairground of rides scattered around. The Big Wheel sits on Victoria Gardens, the Golden Gallopers carousel is on Cookridge Street, and a 30-metre-high Starflyer stands in Millennium Square. On the ice, there are daily public skating sessions, weekend Penguin Club sessions for children under nine, and accessible sessions for those who need them.
It runs alongside the Leeds Christmas Market, which is organised by Fabler and Co. That brings around 60 local traders, two new bar areas, some 200 Christmas trees and a new Elf Hunt trail. The site works with Project Servator and its security provider to keep things safe while it's on.

Admission to the event site is free, so you can wander through the market and the rides without paying a thing. You'll need tickets for the selected attractions, though, and the ice rink is one of them. It opens on 19 November and stays open until 31 December, so there's plenty of time to fit it in.
