Free electronic music night headlined by Hannah Wants, with Josh Demello, Miruna Ghica, Rudanec and Tom Shorterz, as the last dance of the series at Distrikt.
Hannah Wants headlines Distrikt on Friday 30 October, part of a night billed as Hannah Wants x Counter Culture. It's promoted by Counter Culture, and they're calling it The Last Dance — the final night of the series at the venue.
Wants is a self-taught DJ from Birmingham, and she's known for a hard-hitting bass house style that sits right at the heavier end of the house spectrum. She's the main draw here, but she's not playing alone: the bill includes Josh Demello, Miruna Ghica, Rudanec and Tom Shorterz, so there's a full run of DJs to get through before the night winds down. It's a five-deep line-up, which means the music starts well before the headliner takes over.
There's a bit of context to the tour, too. This edition comes after thirteen years of annual UK tours, and the organisers are pointing out that this one is different from the ones that came before. Whether that's in the set, the routing, or the way it's being put on, it's a change of pace from the usual cycle.
