18+ Halloween party inspired by The Purge with costumes, eerie visuals, a house, tech and disco mash-up and a 'Best Dressed Reward'.
Halloween Purge takes over Mint Warehouse on Friday 30 October, running from 11:00pm to 3:00am. It's billed as Leeds' biggest Halloween event, and the whole thing is built around the premise of the film The Purge: a few hours where the rules are suspended and the city is left to orchestrated madness. That's the hook they're leaning on to turn the night into a 'Purge Experience', with eerie visuals and chaos spread across the venue's indoor and outdoor spaces.
The music is a deliberate mash-up rather than a single style. House, tech and disco run alongside sinister RnB and hip hop, and they're throwing in cheese, pop classics and throwbacks too. It's the kind of mix that keeps the floor moving across different tastes, so you're as likely to hear a club track as you are a singalong from a few years back.
Costumes are the order of the night, and they're encouraging masks, rebels and villains. There's a 'Best Dressed Reward' for the most terrifying look, which hands out exclusive VIP treatment and a sinister surprise. If you're planning on going, it's worth putting some effort into the outfit.
