Guided Halloween tour of the Leeds Industrial Museum, a former working mill, with scarecrows as part of the Scarecrow Trail.
Leeds Industrial Museum is running its Halloween Mill Tour on Friday 30 October and Saturday 31 October, two days of guided walks through the museum's galleries. The tour is part of the museum's Scarecrow Trail, so you'll be spotting scarecrows tucked away among the exhibits while you go.
The tour focuses on the dark history of Armley Mills, the very site the museum occupies. It's a former working mill, and the tour takes you through the galleries where you can see the machinery and industrial heritage of the place. Along the way, they'll be telling spine-tingling tales of haunted mills, so it's as much about the ghost stories as it is about the history. If you've spent time in the museum before, this is a chance to see the same space from a different angle, with the stories filling in the gaps between the machines.

Because it's part of the Scarecrow Trail, there's a bit of a game to it too: you're walking through the galleries and taking in the industrial heritage, but you're also keeping an eye out for as many scarecrows as you can find. It's a good way to get around the whole place, and it gives you something to do while you're listening to the tales. The tour runs on Friday 30 October and Saturday 31 October, so you've got two dates to choose from if you're planning your Halloween weekend.
