Free, family-friendly Halloween activity at Leeds Kirkgate Market where visitors make their own spooky lotions and potions to take home.
Halloween - Lotions and Potions runs from Wednesday 28 to Friday 30 October at Leeds Kirkgate Market, with sessions from 11am to 3pm each day. It's a family-friendly Halloween activity where you make your own spooky lotions and potions to take home, and fancy dress is encouraged. The whole thing is free to attend.
You'll find it in the Market Kitchen, inside the main market. If you're not familiar with the place, it's one of the largest indoor markets in Europe and has been at the heart of the city's retail scene since 1857, home to generations of characterful traders from a wide range of nationalities. It's a proper Leeds institution, and the Market Kitchen is right in the thick of it.
Kirkgate has changed a bit lately, though. Beyond the food, it now does beer and wine, and a new events space has turned the market into a social destination that hosts vintage fashion fairs, food and drink festivals, plays and live music. It also stages an Asian Bazaar every Wednesday morning and a farmers market on Briggate every first and third Sunday of the month. This Halloween activity is one of the family-friendly things on that broader calendar.
