Halloween II - Free Entry

Halloween II takes over The Northern Market on Saturday 31 October, from 18:00. It's the annual Halloween gathering from Chilled Out Meetups, one of Leeds' biggest social groups for 18-38 year olds, which they've run every year since the group started in 2024. Each time it lands at a different venue, and this year it's taking over three private rooms at The Northern Market, the food and specialty beer spot by Northern Monk at 12 Great George St.

The three rooms are given their own names. 'The Spookeasy' is an early 20th-century underground bar with a piano that the organisers say might be played by a ghost. 'The Horror Cinema' has spooky movies running on an actual cinema screen with traditional seats, and 'The Lich Lounge' is a raised, fenced-off section. Between the three, the night spreads across a fair bit of the venue rather than sticking to one corner.

Chilled Out Meetups is co-owned equally by its organisers and runs a regular programme of organised walks, coffee and drinks socials, women-only events, and one-off trips in and around the city. They operate with a strict zero-tolerance policy on harassment and a space free of prejudice, and the Halloween party is their signature annual return. Fancy dress is optional, so you can go all out or just turn up as yourself.

Entry is free, and you get in by RSVPing via meetup.com. You can bring up to five +1s with your RSVP, so it's easy to pull a group together. It kicks off at 18:00 on Saturday 31 October at The Northern Market, 12 Great George St, LS1 3ED.
