Family harp concert by Mark the Harpist mixing Disney classics, film themes, festive favourites and nursery rhymes, with children welcome in Halloween costume.
Mark the Harpist is playing a Halloween Holiday Harp Concert at Seven Arts in Chapel Allerton on Thursday 29 October, starting at 11:30 am. It's a morning show, so it works as a mid-week outing with the kids rather than a late one.
Mark plays on a 29-string harp, and the set pulls from a few different places: Disney classics, family film themes, festive favourites and nursery rhymes. It's a mix that should hold the attention of different ages in the same room, with the Disney and film themes sitting alongside the more familiar nursery rhymes and the early nod to the Christmas season. Children are welcome to turn up in Halloween costume, so if you've already got the fancy dress sorted, this is a good place to use it.
Mark has been playing professionally at weddings and events across the UK for 15 years, and he also leads harp music sessions in children's hospitals and schools. He's a resident at Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital in London, and his live credits include Glastonbury and Latitude Festivals, so he's used to playing for crowds of all sizes. The work he does in hospitals and schools sits close to the kind of set he's bringing here—music that's accessible and family-friendly.
