Halloween Bottomless Brunch of Horrors

The Banksia Bar and Restaurant is doing a Halloween bottomless brunch on Saturday 31 October, and they've given it the title Halloween Bottomless Brunch of Horrors. It's running from 12pm to 6pm at 2 Lower Briggate, right in the city centre, so it's an easy one to get to if you're already around town.

On the music side, there's a DJ on the decks playing spooky classics mixed into house, afro house and deep house sets. The Banksia is quite clear about the vibe they're going for here: they've pitched it with no club vibes, so it's more of a daytime thing than a pre-party that turns into a rave. Fancy dress is encouraged, too, so if you've got a costume you've been wanting to wear, this is a good spot to bring it out.

They've framed the whole afternoon as a Halloween catch-up with mates, a costume-party warm-up, or a prelude to the scariest night of the year. It's a daytime slot, so it works as a standalone thing or as the first stop of the day before you head off to whatever else you've got planned for Halloween night.

As for the practicals, it's £40 per person, which gets you one main from the food menu and 90 minutes of bottomless drinks. If you want to step up your cocktail game, there's an upgrade for another £10 that opens up Bellinis, Palomas, Pornstar Martinis, Cosmopolitans, Margaritas (or Spicy Margaritas) and Mojitos.
