Groove Monday is launching its opening party at Mint XL on Monday 19 October, the first of what's being billed as the brand-new home of the biggest student Monday in Leeds. It's a late one, running from 23:00 through to 04:00, so it's more of a proper night out than a quick drink and a dance.
The music for the opening is handled by The Cage, with Samantha Neal on the decks. If you've spent any time in the Leeds club scene, you'll know the drill with a Monday night like this: it's built for the student crowd, and that's exactly who it's aimed at. The "biggest student Monday" tag is a bold claim, but this is the night they're starting with, so it's the one to keep an eye on if you're into the city's clubbing side of things.

One thing to have sorted before you head out: it's strictly over-18s, and they'll be checking photo ID at the door, so don't leave yours at home. The venue is Mint XL at 16-18 Woodhouse Lane, LS2 8LX, right in the thick of it. With the 23:00 start, you've got plenty of time to get your evening sorted before the music kicks in, and it carries on until 4:00, so there's no rush to get home early.
