Grassroots Events 20th Anniversary

Grassroots Events are marking their 20th anniversary at the Leeds Caribbean & African Centre on Saturday 24 October. It's a milestone for a promoter that's spent two decades booking and throwing shows across the city, and they're celebrating with a full night of music.

Me And My Friends and Gremlyn lead the bill, with Treekle, High Lassie, Jedi Pete and Reaction Tom filling out the rest of the line-up. That's six acts in one evening, so it's a long one rather than a quick stop. The night is built around the anniversary itself, with Grassroots taking centre stage as the promoter that's been putting on shows in Leeds for twenty years.

The venue is the Leeds Caribbean & African Centre, over in LS7 3JA. If you've been around the city's live scene for a while, you'll know the name Grassroots from the various nights and bills they've put together across Leeds over the years. This one brings them back to a single room for the occasion, with the whole line-up on one bill. It's on Saturday 24 October, so it's a weekend date.
