Fulci

Master Boot Record plays Brudenell Social Club on Sunday 15 November, with the night presented by Old Empire. The project is Computer Metal, founded in 2016 and blending heavy metal with chiptune and demo scene music. Live, it fronts a full band alongside a Commodore 64 and an Amiga 500, with a visual voyage through retro computer culture, videogame classics and demo scene productions.

Joining the bill are Fulci and Arottenbit. Fulci redefines death metal with crushing riffs, cinematic atmospheres and horror-driven storytelling, taking its name from the Italian filmmaker and 'Godfather of Gore' Lucio Fulci to turn cult horror aesthetics into a sonic nightmare. Arottenbit is an experimental project founded in Milan in 2008 that turns a Game Boy into a sonic weapon, tearing through chiptune, sludge metal, hardcore punk and techno. Between the three, it's a night built around the intersection of heavy music and old-school computing.

Brudenell is at 33 Queen's Rd, Burley, Leeds LS6 1NY. The show starts at 19:00, and tickets are £21.25. It's an all-ages event, 14+, with under-16s needing to be accompanied by an adult.
