Late-night Framework party with Nicolas Lutz, Junki Inoue, Phil Warner, Annie Errez and Bobby O'Donnell in The Cage at Mint XL.
Nicolas Lutz is playing Mint XL on Saturday 28 November, as part of the Framework series. He's not alone on the bill: Junki Inoue, Phil Warner, Annie Errez and Bobby O'Donnell are all on the line-up, so it's a full night rather than a single set. The music is curated by Framework Sound and runs on a Funktion-One Vero system.
What makes this one a bit different from a standard night at Mint XL is the room. The whole thing is taking place inside The Cage, which is the most intimate space in the building: a raw, industrial room with close quarters and a 360 DJ booth, with a capacity of 500. If you've been to the venue before, you'll know it's a far cry from the main room, so this is more of a stripped-back, focused night than a big-room affair.
For those who aren't familiar with the venue, Mint XL is a 2,500-capacity space in the heart of Leeds, and it's the latest chapter in a long history of nightlife here. It follows more than two decades of the original Mint Club, which opened in 1998 on Harrison Street. Over the years that story took in Cocoon In The Park in 2009, the Mint Festival in 2012, the move to Mint Warehouse at Water Lane in 2012, and the Terrace Party outdoor summer series, before the original club closed in 2019. These days the venue works across three spaces: the Main Room, the Club Room, and The Cage, where this night is held.

It runs from 22:00 to 06:00, so there's plenty of room to settle in. The Cage is at 16-18 Woodhouse Lane, LS2 8LX.
