EYEHATEGOD / Rwake / Intercourse

EYEHATEGOD are playing Brudenell Social Club on Thursday 12 November, their first Leeds date in a while. They're the main draw, and they've brought two support acts with them: Rwake and Intercourse. It's a full bill, so you'll be in for the whole evening rather than just a single set.

If you're not familiar with them, EYEHATEGOD are a cornerstone of the sludge metal scene, known for that slow, heavy, distorted sound that's as much about the weight as it is about the noise. They've been around since the late eighties, and they've built their reputation on a particular kind of grinding, feedback-laden intensity. It's the kind of music that works best in a room like the Brudenell, where you can really feel the low end.

They're not coming alone, either. Rwake and Intercourse open the night, so the heavy stuff starts well before the headliners take the stage. It's a three-band run, which means the music will be going from the early evening right through to the end of the night.

Doors open at 19:00 at the Brudenell Social Club, 33 Queen's Road, Headingley, LS6 1NY. General admission is £30.75 including fees, though the face value is £27.50, and it's already sold out.
