Live music night at Wharf Chambers, a not-for-profit workers' co-op venue on Wharf Street, with DOLLHOUSE, NISEMONO, RAT CAGE, Mother Nature and THE APPARITION.
DOLLHOUSE headline a five-band bill at Wharf Chambers on Wednesday 11 November, with NISEMONO, RAT CAGE, Mother Nature and THE APPARITION filling out the rest of the night. It's a full line-up for a mid-week gig, and the music starts at 19:00.
If you've never been, Wharf Chambers is a bar and venue in the centre of Leeds, run as a workers' co-op alongside a members' club. It operates as a not-for-profit space for music, art, film, politics and discussion, and it sits on the ground floor of a Victorian former pork pie factory on Wharf Street, on the edge of The Calls behind the Corn Exchange. It's a working space as much as a venue, and that comes through in the details: it works to a safer spaces agreement, has gender-neutral toilets, a wheelchair-accessible cubicle with a baby changer and a permanent hearing loop. There's also the Radical Lending Library inside, which stocks books on race, gender, sexuality, queerness, class and radical politics.
