No-phones bassline rave at The Warehouse where DJs play UK garage and bassline and phones are banned on the dancefloor.
Deara takes over The Warehouse on Friday 23 October, and it's not your usual bassline night. The whole thing is built around one rule: no phones on the dancefloor. Everyone gets a sticker placed over their camera when they walk in, and if you're caught using your phone while you're dancing, you might be asked to leave. You can still use them in the smoking area, but inside the room, the screens stay dark. It's a rare call for a club night, and it changes the whole feel of the room when no one's filming the drop.
That's not the only thing they're doing differently. Deara encourages the DJs to step away from their usual sets and play something they wouldn't normally touch. The music will be a mix of unreleased bangers, old gems, and undiscovered tunes, all running across UK garage and bassline. It's less about the hits everyone knows and more about the records that usually stay in the bag.
The line-up is a long one, with Tom Shorterz, DJ Apostle, GABESRXDA, Chad Harrison, Denon Reed, TS7, and Disrupta all taking turns. With that many names on the bill, you're getting a fair few hours of music, and the mix of garage and bassline should keep things moving across the night.
