Live music night at Hyde Park Book Club with Courtney Hadwin, the former America's Got Talent star, supported by MUDDI BROOKE.
Courtney Hadwin plays Hyde Park Book Club on Friday 4 December, with support from Muddi Brooke. The night is presented by 432, and it starts at 7:30 pm.
If the name doesn't ring a bell, the story might. Hadwin first made a name for herself as a thirteen-year-old on NBC's America's Got Talent, where her audition went viral and racked up more than 310 million views. She's twenty-one now, a self-taught artist whose vocals critics often compare to Janis Joplin. She credits Tina Turner, Etta James and James Brown as her influences, and points to a Britain's Got Talent performance she saw when she was nine as the spark that got her into music.
She's released several singles — Breakable, That Girl Don't Live Here, Call Me Back and Monsters — and worked with producer Kevin Bowe on her debut album, Little Miss Jagged. She's also played Carnegie Hall, including a show honouring Clive Davis. This is a British pop singer and songwriter who's been working her way from a viral audition to a full album and international stages, and this is her bringing that to a Leeds room.
