A practical, practice-led day course in small groups to help people speak up, handle difficult conversations and feel more assured at work or in everyday life.
The Confidence Building Course runs at West Village, 100 Wellington Street, on Tuesday 27 November, from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. It's a practical, practice-led day that mixes theory with exercises, designed to help you speak up, handle difficult conversations and feel more assured at work or in everyday life.
The session draws on a fair bit of ground. It looks at Daniel Kahneman's 'two systems' thinking model and Marshall Rosenberg's Nonviolent Communication, alongside the idea of 'negative anchors' and Thomas Chamorro-Premuzic's work on the positives of low confidence. You'll go into what drives confidence levels, the relationship between values, motivation and confidence, and how to build constructive strategies for fearful situations, while distinguishing comfort from panic and recognising the dangers of overconfidence.
It's run in small groups of no more than six people by an experienced trainer, so it's more of a workshop than a lecture. The day includes a delegate manual, lunch and refreshments, a certificate of achievement and three months of follow-up support. It's rated five stars by delegates.
