Weekly weekend stand-up show at The Glee Club with a meal for two, sold as a gift voucher for two people.
The Glee Club is running its usual weekend comedy nights on Friday and Saturday, with the next one on Thursday 22 October. It's one of the city's longest-running comedy rooms, and it's been hosting world-class comedians alongside the best up-and-coming acts for more than 30 years. The room has a history of bringing in big names — Joe Lycett, Frankie Boyle, Romesh Ranganathan, Sarah Millican and Gary Delaney have all played here — so you're as likely to see a household name as you are a rising star. The venue sits right in Leeds city centre, a few minutes from the train stations, major bus routes, parking and hotels, which makes it an easy one to get to and back from.
On the night, you can order sourdough pizzas, burgers and cocktails straight to your seats, so you don't have to choose between eating and watching. The show is strictly 18+, and they run Challenge 25 at the door, so make sure you've got your ID on you. It's a full evening rather than a quick set: you pick your arrival time when you book — 6:45pm, 7:00pm or 7:15pm — with last entry at 7:30pm. The show starts around 7:45pm and runs for about two hours with two intervals, finishing up around 9:45pm or 10:00pm. The whole thing is sold as a gift voucher for two people rather than a dated event, so the voucher is delivered instantly and the recipient picks a date within 12 months of purchase. The price is £58 for two.
