Weekly Saturday stand-up night at The HiFi Club with Stephen Carlin, Bobby Mair, Eddie Fortune and Pete Otway.
Stephen Carlin and Bobby Mair are two of the names on the bill at The HiFi Club on Saturday 24 October, part of the venue's long-running Comedy Club. They're joined by Eddie Fortune and Pete Otway, making four acts from the international circuit on one night.
If you've never been, the Comedy Club is run by The House of Fun and has been going since 2001, making it the city's longest-running live comedy club. It's a basement room, and the format is the same every Saturday: four acts from the circuit take the stage, one after the other. It was named 2025 Yorkshire Comedy Club Of The Year.
There's a bit of history to the place that's worth knowing if you're just getting into the Leeds scene. Over the last 25 years, it's been a launch pad for a long list of comedians who went on to fill arenas: Alan Carr, John Bishop, Ross Noble, Katherine Ryan, Kevin Bridges, Jason Manford, Jon Richardson, Sarah Millican, Russell Howard, Joe Lycett and Chris Ramsey all played here in their early days. The Saturday night run has kept that going, bringing in circuit names week after week.

On the night, the basement has a fully stocked bar of craft beers and spirits, and seating is first-come, first-served, so if you want a good spot, it's worth getting there early. Doors open at 5:30pm, and the first act is on stage at approximately 6:45pm. Tickets are £10 in advance for 18+, and there are half-price tickets available for the whole of October with the promo code 'AUTUMN'.
