Stand-up comedy night at The HiFi Club featuring Louise Atkinson, Jack Gleadow, Ryan Kenny and Howard Walker.
The HiFi Club hosts another night of its Comedy Club this Saturday 17 October, with four comedians on the bill. The line-up is Louise Atkinson, Jack Gleadow, Ryan Kenny and Howard Walker, each taking a turn on the mic throughout the evening.
If you've never been, it's worth knowing what the night is. The HiFi Club's Comedy Club started back in 2001 and describes itself as Leeds' finest independent stand-up night. It's one of the longest-running of its kind in the UK, having recently celebrated 25 years of Saturday evening comedy. Over those years, it's acted as a launch pad for a long list of names who went on to fill arenas: Alan Carr, Paul Sinha, John Bishop, Katherine Ryan, Reginald D Hunter, Tom Stade, Jason Manford, Jon Richardson, Sarah Millican, Daliso Chaponda, Russell Howard, Joe Lycett and Chris Ramsey all came through here.

That history is part of the draw, but the night still works on a simple, old-school basis. There's no reservation system, so it's first-come, first-served for seats. The line-up is also subject to change, which is just how these nights go. Tickets start from £18, and the evening runs from 5.30pm to 9.00pm, with the first act on stage at approximately 6.45pm. The club is at 2 Central Rd, Leeds LS1 6DE.
