Cirque Du Soul's Halloween night, a travelling carnival party with over 30 artists, live performers, actors and theme-park attractions across five rooms.
Cirque Du Soul are back at Beaver Works on Friday 30 October for their Halloween special, which they've billed as 'Cirque Du Scream'. It's their biggest Halloween night of the year, and it's a regular fixture in the Leeds calendar — it has sold out in advance every year since it started, usually drawing more than 3,000 people.
The night is built around five rooms of music, with live performers and actors scattered throughout. It's not just about the dancefloors, either: they bring in theme-park attractions like rides, ball pits and bouncy castles, so there's plenty to do between sets. Cirque Du Soul describe their events as travelling carnival parties that take over a venue and layer house, techno and dance music with extravagant showmanship, and that's exactly the sort of thing you'll find here.
On the music side, there are over 30 artists from across the UK, with Badger, Dubtendo Allstars and IsGwan headlining. With five rooms running, you can drift between them throughout the night rather than sticking to one spot. The whole thing runs from 10:00pm on Friday 30 October through to 5:00am on Saturday morning, so it's a long one — you'll want to pace yourself if you're planning on seeing everything.
