Alt-pop singer Chloe Slater brings her Riot Youth tour to The Wardrobe, presented by Futuresound.
Chloe Slater plays The Wardrobe on Sunday 15 November, bringing her Riot Youth tour to Leeds. It's a Futuresound night, and the set is built around her debut album, Riot Youth, which came out on 9 October.
Slater is an alt-pop voice who's made her way from Bournemouth through Manchester, and Riot Youth is the record she's touring. She describes it as a coming-of-age album that deals with post-adolescent doubt and the push-pull of leaving home — the kind of territory that sits comfortably in that gap between being a teenager and whatever comes next. It's the material she'll be working from on the night, so if you've had the record on since October, this is where you'll hear it played out.
She doesn't arrive in Leeds as a complete unknown, either. Before this tour, she's been out on the road with Role Model and The Beaches, so she's coming off a fair bit of stage time with established names. This is her own headline run, though, and the Leeds date is part of the wider Riot Youth tour.
