Live rock show by German musician Chiara Kilchling and her band Caravel at The Attic in Leeds.
Chiara Kilchling & Caravel play The Attic on Friday 13 November, with the set starting at 19:30. It's a night of rock led by Kilchling, a German musician of Hungarian roots who's been playing since she was four.
Her path into music started early: piano at four, guitar at eleven, and singing in the children's choir of the opera in her hometown of Freiburg. But it was rock that really took hold, and she names Led Zeppelin, Whitesnake, Fleetwood Mac and Metallica as early influences. In her teens, she played in cover bands and busked with her sister and friends. At eighteen, she started posting cover videos on YouTube and collaborating with other creators on the platform; her channel now has over 70,000 subscribers.
In 2021, she entered the Popakademie in Mannheim, where she founded the rock band Caravel, the group she writes and releases her own music with. Beside that, she works as a session musician and has performed with the 'Rock the Opera' concert series, which has toured with Joe Lynn Turner and Ian Paice. This show brings her and the band to Leeds, with the set built around the material she writes and records with Caravel.
