Live show by post-punk and noise rock band chest. with FOSSICK at Wharf Chambers.
chest. are playing Wharf Chambers on Tuesday 10 November, with FOSSICK on the bill as well. It's a double bill of post-punk and noise rock, and if you haven't come across them before, it's a good place to start.
chest. are a five-piece from Paris, made up of five friends who've built their sound around the louder, more abrasive end of the post-punk spectrum. They describe their shows as cathartic parties where everyone is invited to dance, mosh and sing along — which gives you a fair idea of the energy they're bringing to the night. It's less about standing still and more about getting involved.
They've spent the last few years working their way up the support ladder, opening for international acts like DITZ, KNIVES and Heavy Lungs. That's put them on some decent stages along the way, including Rock en Seine, La Maroquinerie and Dublin, so they're well-travelled by the time they reach Leeds. FOSSICK joins them on the bill, making it a full night of two bands rather than a single set.
