Thai cooking masterclass for two at Chaophraya, with a welcome drink, a chef demonstration and a hands-on session to cook a starter and a main course.
Chaophraya is running its Thai cooking masterclass in Leeds on Sunday 24 October, and it's set up for two people to do together. It's a hands-on session rather than just watching from the side, so you'll be doing the actual cooking yourself.
It starts with a welcome drink, then the chefs walk you through a range of Thai ingredients and techniques. There's a demonstration first to show you how things work, and then you and your partner get stuck in, each making a starter and a main course. All the equipment and aprons are provided, so you don't need to bring anything but yourself. Once the cooking is done, the two of you sit down at a private dining table to eat what you've made. The whole thing takes around two and a half hours, which includes the health and safety briefing at the start.
People who've done the classes have mentioned spring rolls and red Thai curry among the dishes they've made, so you'll get a fair idea of the flavours and methods involved. It's for over-18s only, and while this one is in Leeds, the masterclass runs at five locations across the UK.
