A string quartet plays Taylor Swift's songs under candlelight in St George's Church, a multi-sensory tribute to the pop star.
Candlelight: Tribute to Taylor Swift comes to St George's Church on Saturday 16 January 2027, with a string quartet taking on a programme of Taylor Swift's songs. The set runs through her eras, from the early country-leaning days to the stadium pop of the later years, and it's not an official production — it's a tribute, so the quartet is playing her songs rather than Swift herself appearing.
The setlist covers a fair bit of ground. You'll hear Love Story, Anti-Hero, Enchanted, Cruel Summer, Shake It Off and You Belong With Me, alongside medleys from Red, Reputation, folklore and 1989. The medleys group songs from those albums together, so you get a run of tracks from each era rather than just one or two. The whole thing is played by a string quartet, which means the pop production is stripped back to strings.
As for the setting, St George's Church is a Church of England parish in the city centre, known for its architecture and artworks. The room is lit by hundreds of candles, and the quartet carries the audience through Swift's eras, from her heartfelt beginnings to her stadium anthems. The show is recommended for ages 8 and up, and under-16s need an adult with them. The venue is wheelchair accessible.
