Candlelight: Disney Love Songs

Candlelight: Disney Love Songs comes to St George's Church on Friday 13 November, a concert that gathers some of the most romantic songs from Disney's filmography and plays them as live classical renditions. It's a licensed Disney Concerts programme, and the setlist is expected to run to around 15 tracks.

On the night, a local string quartet takes the stage, and the whole thing is performed by the light of a thousand candles. The musicians and the audience are surrounded by that warm glow, and the music comes from Disney's most romantic films, reimagined for strings. The concert runs for 60 minutes, with doors opening 45 minutes before it starts. There's no entry once it's begun, so it's worth arriving early.

The setting is St George's Church on Great George Street in the city centre, a Church of England parish known for its architecture and serene atmosphere. It's recommended for ages five and over, and anyone under 16 needs to be accompanied by an adult. Seating is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis within each zone, so if you're keen on a particular spot, getting in early is the way to go.
