Three nights of cabaret, live Brazilian music and a head chef's menu inspired by Brazil, with a meet-and-greet with the cast.
Bibis Cabaret Club is bringing A Night in Rio back to Bibis Italianissimo Restaurant & Cocktail Bar on Wednesday 21 October and Wednesday 18 November, following the first season's run. It's a two-part evening that blends dining and cabaret, with the room turned into a celebration of Brazilian music, culture and energy. The night opens with a Brazilian welcome cocktail and a three-course set menu from the head chef, inspired by Brazilian flavours, with live Brazilian vocals, soulful saxophone and bossa nova running through the meal. At 9:00pm the stage comes alive with a 60-minute immersive production that draws on the swagger of the Malandro, the glamour of Carmen Miranda, the rhythms of Banda Calypso, the artistry of capoeira and live batucada drummers, all building up to the Rio Carnival bursting onto the stage. Samba de Janeiro is on the programme.
Bibis Italianissimo itself is a family-owned Italian restaurant and cocktail bar in Leeds city centre, established in 1974, with a stage that hosts live bands and tribute acts every other week. The whole thing runs from 6:30pm, with the show starting at 9:00pm and carriages at 11:00pm. Tickets are £70 per person, which covers the welcome drinks reception, the three-course set menu, the show, and a meet-and-greet with the cast.
