Live gig by the duo @ (At) with Ellie O'Neill at The Lending Room in Leeds, promoted by Brudenell Presents.
@ (pronounced At) play The Lending Room on Thursday 12 November, with Ellie O'Neill opening the night. The show is promoted by Brudenell Presents, and it's a double bill of two songwriters who both write and perform their own material.
@ is the duo of Victoria Rose and Stone Filipczak, who each write half their songs and perform as a live band. Outside of the music, they're a beekeeper and a self-taught computer programmer, respectively. Both have spent years in the D.I.Y. and basement noise scenes — Rose recording as Brittle Brian and Filipczak as E.R. Visit — and they first met on the East Coast house-show circuit. Their debut album, Mind Palace Music, found a large audience through the internet despite the duo's deliberately obtuse moniker, and they'd never played live before it came out.
Their 2026 album, Autosmile, is their first on the indie label 4AD. It reimagines psychedelic folk as a contemporary art form and was recorded with deliberately low-tech, home-made production. That's the record they're touring now, and the set will draw from it alongside their earlier work.
