Live show by singer-songwriter Asher White with Sam King & The Herons and Lucas Assagba at Hyde Park Book Club, for ages 14 and over.
Asher White plays Hyde Park Book Club on Friday 30 October, with Sam King & The Herons and Lucas Assagba on the bill. The night is presented by Brudenell, and it's for ages 14 and over.
White is a 25-year-old singer-songwriter who spent over a decade writing, recording, producing and playing almost everything herself, putting around two dozen records on Bandcamp before catching the indie-rock industry's attention. She followed 2024's Home Constellation Study with 2025's 8 Tips for Full Catastrophe Living, her first album for Joyful Noise, whose dizzying eclecticism landed her on Rolling Stone's Future 25 list.
Her new album, Love Aggregates, arrived while that record was still gathering momentum. It was written against the backdrop of a devastating breakup and is described as the most stripped-down and personal record of her career, held together by a prismatic sonic variety that draws on influences as diverse as Queen's early-1980s funk and Ghostface Killah's 'Wildflower'.
