A creative workshop where participants learn to create a chunky arm-knitted blanket in one afternoon using premium wool, with all materials provided and no prior experience required.
Kirsty Midgley is running an arm knitting workshop at Northlight Arts Centre on Saturday 17 October, from 10:30 to 12:30. The whole point is to make a chunky blanket in a single morning, and you take the finished thing home with you. It's arm knitting, so you use your arms instead of needles, which is why it works so fast with the chunky wool.
All the materials are provided, and Midgley gives step-by-step guidance throughout, so you don't need to bring anything or know how to knit before you turn up. It's built for speed and ease, and it's just as much for complete beginners as it is for experienced crafters. You'll be working with premium wool, and by the time the session wraps, you'll have a proper blanket to take home.
