Annie-Claude Deschênes / Lines of Flight

Annie-Claude Deschênes plays Hyde Park Book Club on Thursday 22 October, with support from Lines of Flight. The night is presented by Futuresound Events, and tickets are being sold through Jumbo Records and DICE.

Deschênes is an artist who works across disciplines, merging music and performance art to challenge stage conventions. It's a description that suggests the evening will be about more than just standing behind a mic and playing through a set; the performance side of things is as much a part of the work as the music itself. She's built a following as a prominent figure in the scene, and this is one of the nights that puts that crossover on display.

Lines of Flight open the bill, so there are two acts on the night. The whole thing is put on by Futuresound Events, who handle the booking and the promotion, with Jumbo Records and DICE taking the tickets. If you're planning to go, it's worth knowing that Jumbo Records has a limit of five tickets per customer, so if you're sorting a group, you'll need to keep that in mind.

Doors open at 19:30 at Hyde Park Book Club, 27-29 Headingley Lane, Leeds LS6 1BL. Tickets are £14.00, which includes a £1.50 booking fee.
