Ten-piece band led by Y'Cobi and Not a thing play the music of D'Angelo at The Lending Room, with support from Retrospect.
An Evening of D'Angelo comes to The Lending Room on Thursday 5 November, a tribute to the music of D'Angelo. It's put on by Y'Cobi and Not a thing, and the main set is a ten-piece band playing through D'Angelo's songs. Retrospect takes the support slot, so there's a full night of live music rather than just a single set.
The Lending Room is the upstairs room at The Library, a pub on Woodhouse Lane on the edge of Hyde Park, right next to the main University of Leeds campus. The building has a bit of a history to it: it was a fire station, then a library, before it became a music venue. It works across genres, booking everything from local superstars to international goliaths, and runs its own sound system and sound engineers alongside an in-house promotion team and friendly staff. Support slots are regularly held open for local artists, which fits the bill here with Retrospect opening for the main act.

Doors open at 19:30, and the music starts at 20:00. Tickets are £7 in advance and £9 on the day or at the door, so it's a few pounds cheaper if you sort it before you turn up. The venue is at 229 Woodhouse Ln, Leeds, LS2 3AP, upstairs in The Library pub.
