Concert by Zach John King as part of Thomas Rhett's 'Soundtrack to Life Tour', featuring Thomas Rhett and Emily Ann Roberts.
Zach John King plays the Morton Amphitheater on Friday, October 23, as part of Thomas Rhett's Soundtrack to Life Tour. He's sharing the bill with Thomas Rhett and Emily Ann Roberts, so you'll get three acts in one night rather than just one.
King is a lyricist first, and that's where his background comes in. He grew up in Fayetteville, Georgia—a small town outside Atlanta—in a family of poets. His grandfather worked the line at General Motors, and his grandmother was the one who introduced him to country music on Saturday mornings when he was very young. He fronted an indie-rock band through college before moving to Nashville in 2021, and he released the EP Slow Down last spring. He describes himself as "kinda country," writing heartfelt songs inspired by his own life that blend country, Americana, and indie rock, and he's listed under the country and folk genres.
On stage, he works the raw, rootsy borderlands where country and rock collide, wielding electric guitars and a smoky vocal edge. He's already spent some time opening for Morgan Wallen on the I'm The Problem Tour, and he's booked to hit the road with Wallen again in 2026 alongside Riley Green, Jon Pardi, and Brooks & Dunn. Fans have rated him 5 out of 5.
