Country and honky tonk artist Will Payne Harrison performs a solo show with Matt Moran at the Honky Tonk Devils in Kansas City.
Will Payne Harrison plays a solo show in Kansas City on Saturday, October 10, with Matt Moran joining him on stage. It's a house concert, so the whole thing stays small and close.
Harrison is an East Nashville country artist who's been in Tennessee for more than a decade. He's a Louisiana native, and that comes through in the way he plays: he mixes Nashville's precision with the swampy rhythms of his Cajun roots. Over the years, he's put out three albums and an EP, and this set will pull from that catalog.
His most recent work is Still Feelin' the Payne, an 11-song collection of honky tonk and swampy country that came out on August 15, 2025. Critics have called it his most in-depth creative project to date, and they've pointed to his storytelling as one of the things that stands out. They've described the sound as contemporary honky tonk that feels at home in Texas dance halls, so it's the kind of music that works as well for listening as it does for a room where people are moving. Before that, he released Tioga Titan in 2022.
