A historian-led evening walking tour exploring the dark past and true crime tales of the Westport neighbourhood, starting and ending at the historic Harris-Kearney House.
The Wicked Westport History Walk returns to the Harris-Kearney House on Thursday, October 22, for an evening tour through the darker side of Westport. It's a historian-led walk that trades the usual local landmarks for the neighborhood's grittier past, with guides recounting true crime tales and local legends from the area.
The tour covers about a mile and a half of Westport's streets, so you'll be on your feet for most of it. It starts and ends at the Harris-Kearney House, a museum that dates back to 1855 and stands as one of the neighborhood's oldest landmarks. The walk is part of the Wornall/Majors House Museums' series of walking tours, and the guides are historians who know the stories they're telling.
