Vinyl Richy

Vinyl Richy plays Tin Roof Kansas City on Friday, October 9, 2026. It's a single-bill night with Richy as the main feature, so the whole set is his to run. If you've been following the local scene, you know the name—this is one of those nights where the focus stays on one person rather than a full lineup.

Richy is a DJ who works from vinyl, and that's where the name comes from. The set is built around records, not a laptop, so you're hearing the sound of a real collection being worked through in real time. It's a different kind of energy when you can see the records spinning and hear the transitions happen by hand, and that's the whole point of a night like this. The music is the draw, and the way it's played is part of the experience.

Tin Roof is a well-known spot in the city, and this is one of the dates on their calendar for the fall. It's a straightforward setup: Vinyl Richy on the decks, the venue providing the space, and the music filling the room. There aren't any opening acts to work through first, so the night gets right to the main event.

It all goes down at Tin Roof Kansas City in Kansas City on Friday, October 9, starting at 1 AM. Since it's a late-night start, it's the kind of show you head to after the rest of your Friday is already wrapped up. If you're out and looking for something to keep the night going, this is a good place to land.
