Border Brewing Company hosts its weekly trivia night every Wednesday in the Crossroads, with the next one falling on October 14. The taproom opens at 4 PM, and the game kicks off at 6:30 PM. It's a regular fixture of the neighborhood, and the host keeps the pace fast enough that you'll likely order another beer before the next round drops.

The format is built for groups who come to have fun rather than to win nationals. There are two Jeopardy-style rounds with category boards and escalating point values, followed by a Final Jeopardy-style wager. The questions mix pop culture, Kansas City trivia, music, and general knowledge, so you don't need to be a specialist in any one thing to stay in the game. You can play solo or bring a team, and there's no registration — you just show up and pay the cover. The winning team walks away with a rotating prize, which ranges from a bar tab to merch or a tap takeover.

Beyond the trivia, the taproom pours some of the best craft beer in the Crossroads, along with ciders, seltzers, cocktails, and Kansas City's first non-alcoholic beers. Food trucks pop up on some evenings, so it's easy to make a full night of it. All ages are welcome until 9 PM, after which the room becomes 21+.
