Chicago indie-rock outfit The Braymores perform live at the miniBar venue in Kansas City.
The Braymores play miniBar on Tuesday, October 20, at 7:30 PM. They're a Chicago indie-rock band that formed in 2022, with Matt Tilles on vocals and guitar, Keegan Melaniphy on guitar, Russell Oren on drums, and Connor Kohanzo on bass. They've been on the road throughout the summer and fall, playing more than 40 dates.
Their first release was the 2023 EP Talking to Trees, which blended indie rock and folk with surf-inspired guitar. Their debut full-length, Who You'd Have Been, followed in late 2024; it was recorded in Chicago and mixed by Josh Tyrrell, and it picked up a fair amount of underground buzz. The band is now working on a sophomore album, When The Lights Went Out, which they describe as expanding their sound with character-driven narratives and darker themes. That one was also recorded in Chicago and mixed by Tyrrell, with mastering by Katie Tavini.
