Comedy play performed by The Bird Comedy Theater Players at The Bird Comedy Theater in the Crossroads Arts District.
The Bird House is back at The Bird Comedy Theater on Saturday, October 17. It's the resident show put on by The Bird Comedy Theater Players, and it runs on Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 PM, with a second show sometimes added at 9:30 PM.
If you haven't spent much time in the Crossroads Arts District, here's the context: The Bird bills itself as Kansas City's best comedy theater, with improv, sketch, and stand-up on the bill every week. It's been voted the city's Best Comedy Club and Best Improv/Sketch Troupe since 2023, and Best Theater Company and Best Open Mic since 2024 in The Pitch Best of KC. The Bird House is the main stage production that the house troupe puts on.
Inside, there's a full bar, soft drinks, and popcorn, so you can grab a drink and a snack before the show starts. Street parking is available around the theater, and it sits a block and a half west of the 19th Street streetcar stop, which makes it an easy trip if you're coming from downtown or other parts of the city. The shows are recommended for ages 17 and up.
