Grammy-winning rock band Switchfoot performs live on their The Forever Now Tour, with special guest Anberlin, at the historic Uptown Theater.
Switchfoot play the Uptown Theater on Tuesday, November 17, as part of their The Forever Now Tour. They're bringing Anberlin along as a special guest, so it's a double bill. The show is part of a 38-city U.S. run, and the set mixes older songs like "Meant to Live" and "Dare You to Move" with newer ones like "Absolution" and "Beautiful Life."
The tour takes its name from The Forever Now, Switchfoot's 14th studio album and their first in five years. Frontman Jon Foreman describes it as the most thematic and narrative-driven record of their career. It's a 13-track album produced by Mike Elizondo and recorded at his Phantom Studios on the outskirts of Nashville, and it follows the emotional roller coaster of a person's final day of life. The California-bred band is led by Foreman on vocals and guitar, with Tim Foreman, Boaz Roberts, Jerome Fontamillas and Chad Butler.
They've sold more than 10 million albums, including the triple platinum The Beautiful Letdown and the GRAMMY-winning Hello Hurricane. Beyond the music, they run the Bro-Am Foundation, which has raised over $3 million in 20 years for at-risk youth in their San Diego hometown. The show takes place at the Uptown Theater, which still has its restored 1928 atmospheric design.
