Live music performance by Ryan Mundy at Tin Roof Kansas City.
Ryan Mundy plays Tin Roof in Kansas City on Friday, October 16. It's a single-bill night, so he's the only name on the marquee.
If you're not familiar with him, Mundy is a singer-songwriter who works in the country-folk tradition. He's known for writing songs that lean on storytelling and a clear, melodic voice, the kind of set that lets the lyrics take center stage. Coming to a room like Tin Roof, which is built around live music, it's the sort of show that works just as well if you're there to listen closely as if you're just grabbing a drink and letting the music run in the background.
He'll be performing his own material, and since he's the sole feature of the evening, the whole set belongs to him. You'll get a full night of his songs from start to finish, without an opening act to warm up the room first. If you've followed his work, it's a good chance to hear those songs played straight through.
