A festival featuring professional bull riding, live music, line dancing, food and drink, and family-friendly activities in the Power & Light District.
PBR Outlaw Days takes over the Power & Light District from October 23 to 25, with the professional bull riding centered at PBR Big Sky inside KC Live!. It's a weekend that puts the riding at the middle and builds a festival around it, so you can come for the competition and stay for the rest.
The ticketed PBR events are the main draw, but the festival fills in the gaps with live music, line dancing, food and drink, and meet-and-greets. There's also free festival programming running alongside the ticketed shows, including a pep rally and activities for the whole family, so it works as a full-day thing even if you aren't staying for every single ride.
It helps that the district is built for this kind of weekend. The Power & Light District is downtown Kansas City's hub for restaurants, bars, and live entertainment, anchored by KC Live! and Palm Tree KC, which The Kansas City Star readers voted the city's best new restaurant of 2025. The district also includes Ten27 Bar at the historic Arvest Bank Theatre at The Midland and The Residence cocktail lounge, so there are plenty of spots to grab a drink or a meal before and after the action.

As for the timing, the PBR events run Friday, October 23, starting at 4 PM, and Saturday, October 24, starting at 3 PM. The festival programming runs through the weekend, so you can work your way through the music, the dancing, and the riding over the course of a few days.
