Concert by Oso Oso with supporting acts Bugsy and Liquid Mike at recordBar.
Oso Oso plays recordBar on Thursday, November 5, with Bugsy and Liquid Mike opening. The show starts at 8 PM at 1520 Grand Blvd in Kansas City.
Oso Oso is the project of Jade Lilitri, who hails from Long Beach. The band first put out The Yunahon Mixtape on Bandcamp in 2017, where it picked up steam with its catchy choruses and relatable lyrics. That early traction led to a deal with Triple Crown Records in 2018.
As for the sound, the live show sits at a crossroads of rock, pop, indie/alternative, metal, emo, pop-punk and math rock. It's a wide net to cast, but that's the point—the set pulls from a few different worlds at once. If you're into the melodic side of pop-punk but don't mind a bit of math rock's angularity and a touch of emo, this is right in that wheelhouse.
