Comedy music duo On Cinema perform live on their On Cinema Live! tour at The Midland Theatre.
On Cinema Live! comes to The Midland Theatre on Thursday, November 12, 2026, with Tim Heidecker and Gregg Turkington taking the stage. The show is part of an eight-concert tour hitting venues across the United States, and the Kansas City date is presented by AEG Presents.
If you've followed the On Cinema project, you know the setup: Heidecker and Turkington as the hosts of a movie review show that's as much about their own friction as it is about the films. Bringing that dynamic to a live stage is a different beast entirely, and this is one of only eight stops on the tour, so it's not a run that'll be circling back around the city anytime soon.
The venue is The Midland Theatre, located at 1228 Main Street in the Power & Light District. It opened in 1927 and has hosted a long line of well-known artists over the decades; under its current name, it continues that tradition and is projected to stage more than 125 concerts, family shows, awards shows, and corporate and charitable events each year. It's a downtown room with plenty of history behind it, and it's where the tour will set up for the night.

Doors open and the show starts at 8 PM on Thursday, November 12. If you're planning to head downtown, keep in mind it's a weeknight in the Power & Light District, so you'll want to give yourself a little extra time to get to Main Street.
