Movie screening of Fackham Hall for seniors at the Westport Branch of the Kansas City Public Library, part of the Retro Mystery Movies series.
Fackham Hall screens at the Westport Branch of the Kansas City Public Library on Thursday, November 19. It's part of the library's Retro Mystery Movies series, which Two & Two Pictures presents around films based on books from the 1930s through the 1950s.
The series splits its month in two. The first Thursday is devoted to the Golden Age of Mystery, with Agatha Christie and Dorothy Sayers at the forefront. The third Thursday shifts to Classic and Neo-Noir. Fackham Hall falls into that second slot, so it's a night for the darker, moodier side of the mystery tradition.

The film is rated R and runs for 1 hour and 37 minutes. The library programs it for audiences aged 18 and over, so it's an adults-only screening. If you're into mid-century mysteries and the noir that grew out of them, this is exactly the kind of thing the series is built for.
