Acoustic looping show by the Mikey Needleman Band at Social in Kansas City.
Mikey Needleman Band plays Social on Thursday, October 15, with an acoustic looping show starting at 6 PM. It's a different format than their usual full-band set, with the looping pedal doing the heavy lifting to fill out the sound.
For those who haven't caught them, the band is a Kansas City, Kansas trio. Mikey Needleman fronts on guitars and lead vocals, with Evan Maslak on drums and Caleb Blacksher on electric guitar. They're a working band in the truest sense—they play more than 100 shows a year, which means they've spent a lot of time on stage and in the van. This particular date is an acoustic looping show, so the focus shifts to the looping pedal, which lets Needleman build layers of guitar and vocals on the fly rather than relying on a full backing band. It's a more stripped-down, singular way to hear the songs.
