An evening with Kevin Morgan of the Interfaith Coalition for the Unhoused on how to care for our neighbors.
Resurrection Downtown is hosting Love Moves First: Caring for Our Unhoused Neighbors on Wednesday, October 14, with Kevin Morgan leading the evening. Morgan is the executive director of the Interfaith Coalition for the Unhoused, an organization that works with faith communities across Kansas City to help them maximize their impact on homelessness. The night is built around a conversation rather than a formal lecture, so it's more of a shared discussion than a presentation.
Resurrection Downtown describes the evening as an invitation for people of any background or belief to move beyond their differences and step into active, unconditional care for one another. The goal is to walk away with practical ways to support unhoused neighbors and help local communities flourish side by side. The gathering is open to everyone, and the conversation format means you're as much a part of it as the person leading it.
